We’re so glad you’re coming - here’s everything you need to know before you arrive.

When.

Tuesdays evenings following the three school terms. Full timetable below.

Rehearsal starts at 19:00, doors open at 18:45. (Please don’t arrive any earlier as we will be setting up the room. Thanks!)

We have a short comfort break approximately half-way through and the rehearsal ends at 20:45.

Where.

The Black Diamond - Lower Harding Street, Northampton, NN1 2JL

There are parking spaces we can use at the front of the venue, and also outside The Vintage Retreat immediately next door. These two areas are divided by bollards, so you will need to approach either via Spring Lane (for Black Diamond, fewer parking spaces) or Compton St for The Vintage Retreat (next door, more parking spaces).

The location is a ten minute walk from the Train Station or the centre of town.

Access.

The main entrance into The Black Diamond’s sunken dance hall requires walking down [XX] steps which have a handrail. There is step-free access via an external door onto Spring Lane - please let us know if you require this .

Toilets (male, female and gender-neutral disabled) are at the level of the main entrance, so step-free access is possible from the hall level but would mean travelling out of the external door and around the building to the front.

What to bring.

🪶 Water Bottle (tap water refill available)

🪶 Pencil (for making any notes in your music)

🪶 Dress comfortably

Music and a folder will be provided - we use sheet music but there is no expectation to read musical notation as all parts will be taught. Music is printed in A4 format on white paper - if you require coloured paper, enlarged copies, or other adjustments please reach out.

Performances.

Wyrd Voices is a brand new choir - we hope to offer exciting gig opportunities once established, but are not planning a public performance in the first term!
